What changes the price
- Number of pages. More pages means more design, writing and testing.
- Custom design or template. A custom design costs more but looks like your brand, not everyone else’s.
- Online payments. A shop needs products, payments, shipping and stock set up.
- Who writes the words. Having the words and photos written and sourced for you adds time.
- Extra features. Bookings, quote forms and member areas all add cost.
Costs people forget
- Domain name and hosting. You pay for these every year, on top of the build.
- Care and updates. WordPress sites need regular updates and backups. In Ireland this usually runs from €50 to €150 a month.
- Business email. Email on your own domain is usually a separate monthly cost.
- Changes after launch. Ask what small changes cost before you sign.

How to choose
- Ask for a fixed price in writing. A range isn’t a price.
- Check what’s included. Look for pages, revisions, SEO basics and support after launch.
- Ask who owns the site. You should own your domain, content and logins.
- Look at recent local work. Ask for examples from businesses like yours.
- Ask about ongoing costs. Hosting, care and changes should be clear before you start.
